Perfect Solo Day
The tour was perfect. Trung is a complete sweetheart. He was thoughtful, checked to make sure I was comfortable and moved through the activities at my speed. He was a safe driver and I never felt afraid. The swimming hole was fun with lots of locals and children. Highly recommend.

Top 3 experience/tour ever!!
Truly a one of a kind experience. Went with a group of 5, all said the same thing. Breathtaking views of the Da Nang countryside with supple time to explore sightseeing locations (monkey man, waterfall, beaches, viewpoints). Truly a must do event if in the area.

Wow, Wow, Wow….Brilliant
As a motorbike rider of 40 years, I was super impressed by the easy riders ability and time spent informing us of the various points of interest. We so much enjoyed the day from Da Nang to Hue. Quynh and his easy rider partner were fantastic. Quynh was especially helpful, and informative as the lead rider. It was a great experience and one memory treasure. Do yourself a favour and book Quynh and team. They are great.

Oyster farm tour
If you’re looking for a truly authentic experience away from the usual tourist crowds, this oyster farm tour in Lăng Cô is a must. We loved heading out onto the lagoon to meet the local farmers and see firsthand how they cultivate their oysters using traditional methods—it felt like a genuine look into their daily lives rather than a staged attraction. The highlight was definitely resting on the floating platform and enjoying the incredibly fresh oysters, especially when grilled with scallion oil and peanuts right there on the water. It’s a fun, unique, and delicious way to spend an afternoon connecting with the local community and enjoying some of the best seafood in Vietnam.

A great day with Hung & Ron!
A great day! Hung & Ron took great care of us the whole day. I was a bit apprehensive at first having never ridden on the back of a bike before, but they drove incredibly safely. The bikes were surprisingly comfy as well despite our large luggage taking a lot of space on the bikes. As for the day itself, it was amazing. We did this route because I am a massive fan of Top Gear and it did not disappoint.

A most unique culinary experience
One of the most unique experiences to do whilst in Danang. The tour organizer is a social entrepreneur. My preferred operator in Danang.

Expensive but comfortable tour
Our driver was great, went beyond to make the day good for us. For us the tour was just a means of getting from Hue to Hoi An via Ba Na Hills resort with time to enjoy the latter. Probably not the cheapest way to achieve that end but very comfortable.

An amazing experience
The motorcycle ride from Hoi An to Hue city is amazing. Our driver Ron and Hun was very professional drivers of the motorcycle. They drive safely and we stopped by many spots and they waited patiently for us to enjoy the site and take photos. They also brought us to a café that with fantastic view and lunch with oceanfront view. We would highly recommend this for anyone who wants to travel from Hue to Hoi An or Da Nang.

People Also Ask
What is the Hai Van Pass, and where is it in Vietnam?
The Hai Van Pass is one of the most famous mountain passes in the world; it stretches for 13 miles (21 kilometers) along the Vietnamese coast, just north of the city of Da Nang. It offers zig-zagging views of jungle-clad mountains, cascading waterfalls, sandy bays, and a Nguyen Dynasty lookout post.
What makes the Hai Van Pass a popular tourist attraction?
Often hailed as Vietnam’s most scenic stretch of road, the Hai Van Pass is popular for its wild switchbacks that climb up and down the Annamite Range, offering fabulous views of the coast, the jungle, and waterfalls. It also links the cities of Da Nang and Hue, two major stops on any central Vietnam itinerary.
How do I get to the Hai Van Pass from Da Nang or Hue?
Only three roads head north from Da Nang to Hue—so if you’re not on QL1A or CT01 (the main highways), you’re on the Hai Van Pass. From Hue, it’s the same story. A good rule of thumb: If you stick to the coast, you can’t miss the Hai Van Pass. If you don’t have your own wheels, plenty of tours can get you here.
Can I drive or ride a motorbike along the Hai Van Pass?
Yes. You can drive a car or ride a motorbike along the Hai Van Pass. A motorbike is the best way to explore, as there’s nothing like experiencing it in the open air. However, it’s not recommended for beginner bikers, as the pass is used by large vehicles and has lots of blind curves.
What are the best viewpoints along the Hai Van Pass?
While almost all of the Hai Van Pass is scenic, the best viewpoints include the Hai Van Gate, which marks the highest point of the Hai Van Pass; Hai Van Peak, just past the gate, for excellent panoramic views; Lap An Lagoon and its mangrove forests; and Lang Co Beach, famous for its white sands.
What is the best time of day to visit the Hai Van Pass for the most scenic views?
If you’re an early bird, you’re in for a treat—the Hai Van Pass runs mostly north–south, so you can catch exquisite sunrise views of the East China Sea. If that’s too much, aim for golden hour (about an hour before sunset) to catch the mountains and valleys awash in warm light and long shadows.
