There are only a handful of bioluminescence or bioluminescent bays in the Caribbean, and not many more than that in the world. They only occur in certain places because they only happen naturally under very specific conditions. The water in Bio Bay is very warm and salty with an abundance of nutrients and seagrass, the perfect environment for special microscopic plankton. These plankton occur all over the island, and all over the Caribbean, but the concentration we find in Bio Bay is what makes for a fantastic experience. Because of these plankton “bioluminescence,” it produces a very short burst of light when stimulated by movement. The Bio Bay is best viewed by floating in the water. With snorkeling gear, you’ll float in this magical bay mesmerized as your movements create trails of light in the water. Perfect excursion

This was probably the best experience we had involving a boat and family. We were picked up at our hotel and brought with a small group to the boat. After a basic introduction, we travelled to our first location to snorkel. Equipment was clean and new, and Captain Sheldon and crew went above and beyond to be accommodating to our family (2 adults and 4 kids). Next we went to stingray city and were blown away by how fun it was for everyone. After, we went to see the starfish which was a perfect way to wrap up the day. I applaud the staff for making our family feel so welcome and well taken care of. Thanks

Stingrays delight !

This was a fun excursion. We got picked up at the port and bused to the boat. There we loaded too about 30 minutes we snorkel for about 40 minutes then we headed to the sand bar to feed and see the stingrays. We all got to feed them and hold them. It was nice the stingrays are large and we spent about 35 minutes there then we headed to starfish beach where we seen starfish. I would definitely recommend this trip. It was well organized and the staff were knowledgeable and friendly.

Great day in the water!

Native Way was our company and our excursion was with Captain Sheldon. A relaxing and truly enjoyable day...no stress..held/fed stingrays and held starfish at another stop. Small group, felt care for. Definitely will choose Capt Sheldon/ Native Way again.

Best option for private tour.

Dion asked us what we wanted to see during our two hours and made it happen. 10/10 suggest hiring a private boat if you simply need to not be around other people. It was much more personable this way. We saw tons of starfish and the stingrays were so cool. Highly recommend this operator; we showed up early and were able to get started early. Boat was clean and organized.

Excellent experience

This tour was excellent. When we arrived to the port, we looked for the company tent as instructed and checked-in for our tour quickly. The ground and boat transportation were great. We did 3 stops, first at star fish beach, then stingray city sandbar and lastly, the coral reef somewhere in between. We really enjoyed all the stops. The boat crew gave us instructions and we got to enjoy every stop without feeling rushed. At the stingray city sandbar we interacted with the stingrays and fed them. We really liked that we were in a smaller boat (less than 25 people) and there were not many boats at the sandbar. I am not sure if the difference was due to the number of people, the size of the boats, time of the visit, or all of the above, but we did this tour before with another company on a larger boat and it was terrible at the sandbar. There were so many boats and people that we could have one decent photo. This time, we really enjoyed our time, we kissed the stingrays and took photos without so much crowd around us. We definitely recommend this tour and we would book it again. George Town is beautiful, it clean and people were friendly.

Great charter experience!

Fantastic experience with Ray Dayz charters and Captain Austin! The boat was really nice and clean with a little cover over the Captain’s area. We departed from Camana bay which was a lovely shopping/dining area and went to stingray bay and the reef and cruised around the crystal blue green water. There was so much sea wildlife to see! Captain Austin was experienced and so knowledgeable and friendly. We were in great hands! Highly recommend!

Great tour of the west end.

This was a fun excursion that would be good for most riders of any experience level. Basically, if you can ride a bike, you will be fine. Our guide was great and even accommodated us showing up quite late due to traffic issues. We made several stops along the about 11 mile loop where our guide would provide some history and point out things of interest. Highly recommend this tour.

Incredible Experience!

Our family had an incredible time! Javahn was a wonderful guide and made the day truly magical! This was our first time booking through Viator and I’m so glad I did - this was the highlight of our whole cruise! We were able to take our time at each spot and Javahn ensured our kids all felt safe and comfortable around the animals - he’s a true stingray whisperer! He also knew we were wanting to find sea turtles and knew just where to go! We ended up snorkeling with them and right over a little lemon shark! He also arranged our taxi back to the ship as we headed back to the dock - perfect timing! Amazing experience! Thanks again!!

Magic Light Show Under Water

So amazing! Went on a fairly dark night and the glow under water is magical! OK, it’s not really a glow - it’s sparkles of individual lights. My wife said it reminds her of the sparkles from a Disney princes wand. Definitely a highlight of our trip! The boat can get a little ocean spray - so if it’s cooler, pack a layer. They guys on the boat were awesome too - loved the playlist in the ride back. It was perfect for our honeymoon adventure!
