Perfect escape from busy Rio
A perfect escape from the hustle of Rio’s city and beaches. I booked this last minute walking tour for my final day in Rio. I’m so glad I did. Lucas, my guide was the great! He was enthusiastic, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the native flora and fauna of the rainforest. Our driver was nice and safe as well. The van was clean and comfortable. The Tijuca rainforest was stunning. We saw some animals hiding in their natural habitat as well as native berries and medicinal foliage. It was such a peaceful afternoon. The cherry on top was the surprise final stop on the drive back to see the sunset glow with the mountains. Absolutely amazing. Thank you Lucas for a great tour of the rainforest!

Amelia, the best tour guide
Amelia was so awesome. She was friendly from her reception at pick up until the end of our tour. She had vast knowledge about Rio and the sites we visited. Her knowledge about the various other countries and cultures was impressive. Her sense of humour and kindness made our tour more human! She was caring and considerate to the group. She was the best tour guide! Thank you Amelia. You made our tour of Rio so enjoyable.

The tour was great!...
The tour was great! Thalyta was a really good guide and super impressive. She had to conduct the tour in Spanish, English and Portuguese, and honestly no information was missed! She was able to tell us about all the things passing by in enough time to see them and understand. For the tour itself, it was more self-guided. She would give you a set amount of time and you were free to explore the space as necessary. We did only wish we had more time to take in and appreciate the Christ the Redeemer, but only felt that way because navigating around the high volume of people was difficult. Otherwise, we still got to see it, take awesome pictures, and walk around. The van was very comfy, and the time allotted for each place was very good. We spent about 30 minutes at the Seralon steps, which was enough time to walk the steps, take pictures and even get a drink! We got lucky it was during the week, so not many people were there. The sugar loaf cable cars are also super cool! You have to ride the cars a total of 5 times, and time you get to the top to watch the sunset it’s worth it! Everything was very prompt, and we had a lot of fun and learned a lot. It was one of our favorite touring days.

I had a wonderful experience! Everything was very well organized from start to finish. Our guide spoke excellent English and Spanish, making everything easy to understand. He was funny, charismatic, kind, and created a great atmosphere throughout the tour. I really enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and well-organized tour. Thank you!

All Day Fun!
This full day tour takes you on a ride to Rio's most prominent icons recognized around the world. Our guide (Publio) is a man who has traveled the world and able to communicate with everyone. He managed to keep the diverse group interested and maintain a timely schedule. We hit the attractions at just the right time, and the Brazilian lunch was amazing! Get ready for a FULL day of fun that will make for a good night's sleep in the end!

A great tour to see the other side of Rio!
Martin was a gem of a guide, navigating conversations in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese to meet the needs of a diverse group. He helped us safely navigate the favela, took us to great vantage points and through tight alleyways. We got to interact with some residents, play some soccer, meet some artists, and come to appreciate all that the favelas are, while also learning about how they operate and their history. Thanks for a wonderful, eye-opening tour, Martin!

Beth was absolutely...
Beth was absolutely incredible! So knowledgeable and very flexible to build the day with! We definitely felt safe have her with us! We were able to see everything we wanted and more! We were able to start the day off at the Selarón steps and walk around Santa Teresa definitely worth going early for before it gets too crowded, then we went to the cathedral and Lage Park, even though the inside was closed for remodeling the outside is well worth seeing and walking around, we then got a little sweet treat at Rio cafe and headed up to Christ the redeemer. After that we finished off at sugar loaf mountain and ate at a Brazilian Steakhouse. Absolutely worth getting a private tour! Money well spent! Carlos was also an amazing driver! I loved Beth’s personality we meshed very well and like I said earlier the flexibility she had with little changes to what we initially had planned made it all the better! She definitely suggested how to plan to get the most of the day and our money!

Incredible experience and host
Ricardo was an incredible, friendly, approachable person to hang glide with for the first time. He provided a safe, comfortable, exciting experience with scenery that can't be beat. I would love the opportunity to join Ricardo again on a tandem hang glide.

Best Seats in the House
The show, especially the 2nd half was entertaining and musically educational about all of Brazil. First rate dancing and singing all in a fun way. Great visuals. And the food isn’t bad either especially if you factor in the # of folks being fed.
Our aviator tickets were in the front row and centered. They cost less thru aviator than I would’ve paid via our tour group too. Excellent job aviator.

Clouds and rain? They're illegal in Rio. Aren't they...?
The helicopter base was an hour's taxi ride away, and I wasn't expecting that. I should've checked in advance but didn't...so fair warning everyone else! When I got there - just in time - I was asked if I wanted a cold drink or maybe a beer? I opted for the beer (I was on holiday after all and not driving the thing, so why not?).
I also opted for the extra video they make of the journey, which is e-mailed to you about 5 days later. So given that I had paid for a VIP flight, and bought the extra video offer, I was a little surprised to also be charged for the beer! And so to the flight itself.
Well, it's at that point that you realise that Rio is just like any city anywhere on the planet. It too is subject to the vagaries of the weather. Every day for the last six months, in my mind this one day, this one particular half-hour was bathed in glorious sunshine. But it could be so different. Too cloudy, too wet, too windy, too anything...And today, right now...was none of those things. It was as if I had placed a weather-order with the Redeemer him/her/itself. Rio and the weather working hand-in-hand to deliver my long-held weather expectation. Across that panoramic perfection rode one helicopter and two insignificant passengers who may have been thinking different things about their forthcoming trip, but not that they would soon be silently and reverentially acknowledging the imperial majesty of Nature and Humans to bring us, well...this.
A planet we could exist on, the luck that would allow us to develop and live this long, and the vision that would allow one person to say, "I've got this crazy idea. What I want to do is put a statue of Christ - right there...", and the vision that would allow another person to say, "Eh...OK" And they did. Then my wife and I came along. We took some pics. Shot a video or two. Ipanema, Copacabana, Cristo.
Minds so exstatically blown. Grateful to everyone for everything.
So yeah, it was OK. We'd do it again.
