The Concordia K2 Base Trek is a popular trekking route in Pakistan that takes trekkers through the stunning Karakoram mountain range, offering breathtaking views of the world's second-highest mountain, K2 (8,611m). The trek starts in Askole, a remote village in the Baltistan region, and follows the Braldu river through narrow gorges, green valleys, and rugged terrain, passing through several traditional Balti villages along the way. The trek takes about 14-18 days to complete and is considered to be moderately challenging, requiring a good level of physical fitness and stamina. The highlight of the trek is reaching the legendary Concordia, a confluence of five glaciers and the starting point for expeditions to K2, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum I, and II. From Concordia, trekkers can also enjoy panoramic views of some of the world's highest peaks, including Gasherbrum IV, Mitre Peak, and Chogolisa.
