With a local Nonna, you will learn how to prepare fresh handmade orecchiette pasta, following authentic Apulian tradition. After the cooking experience, you will discover the vibrant world of Pizzica, learning the basic steps of this traditional dance and experiencing the joy and energy that every Apulian feels when this incredible music begins to play. At the end of the experience, you will enjoy the freshly made orecchiette accompanied by a glass of local wine.

We bring to your accommodation/holiday home one of the most important culinary traditions of Pugliese cuisine: HANDMADE PASTA. This experience will not only allow you to carry in your luggage back home the satisfaction of having been part of the preparation of 3 types of pasta with your own hands, but also to have learned techniques and tricks that you can put into practice to delight your family and friends on their way home. The experience includes the preparation of 3 types of fresh pasta: Orecchiette, Tagliatelle and a stuffed egg pasta, but the experience does not end here, for each type of pasta we will prepare a sauce/dressing for an explosion of flavor. At the end, all seated, to taste the prepared dishes, accompanied by a starter that our local chef will offer us.

In addition to learning how to make fresh orecchiette pasta with a local grandmother, you will enjoy a complete gastronomic experience. During dinner, you will taste typical local products such as crunchy frise, local cheeses, delicious panzerotti, and of course the orecchiette you prepared together. By the end of the session you will be able to do the basic steps of the folklorist dance of Salento "Pizzica Pizzica" (Taranta). In this experience you will get a very significant portion of the Salento culture and you will not wish to be elsewhere.

Spend time in a local’s home in Ostuni, learning the tricks to make fresh pasta and tiramisu in local style. Taking part in an intimately sized small group of just 12 other people, the class shows you how to roll and cut fresh pasta by hand as you learn about the food traditions of Puglia from your Cesarine host — a local who belongs to a network of home cooks who preserve culinary traditions in the region.

In this experience, perfect for both adults and children, you will be welcomed by me and my family in the country house in Ostuni, Puglia, and through the Guide you will learn to cook as well as appetizers and handmade pasta even the tricks that make the difference in the culinary tradition! Following the cooking class, during the tasting there will be a classical guitar solo concert of about 45 minutes. If possible, depending on the season, we will collect and use vegetables and fruits from the garden. At the end of the experience you will receive the recipes of the dishes so you can propose them at your home when you want!

Panzerotti and puccitedde are typical traditional fried foods seasoned in a variety of ways whose recipe has been handed down from generation to generation and characterize the culinary art of Puglia.
