Explore the rugged landscapes of the Andes Mountains on this full-day road trip, and break up the journey with a 2-hour hike. Itinerary
Your tour begins with morning pickup from your central Mendoza hotel, where you’ll meet your guide and group. Soak up the scenery as you head southwest along Road 7, then jump out to admire the views over the Cordon del Plata Range and Potrerillos Dam.
Continue through tunnels and bridges to reach the scenic town of Uspallata. Hop out for a view of the valley before heading along the dramatic mountain roads into the heart of the Aconcagua Provincial Park. After securing your park permits, set out on a 2-hour guided hike in the shadows of the Aconcagua Mountain, and enjoy magnificent views of the snow-capped peak and the surrounding Andes Mountains.
Back on the bus, there’s time for one more stop: to admire the Puente del Inca, a natural bridge that swoops over the Vacas River.
After a full day in the mountains, return to Mendoza, where you tour ends with drop-off back at your hotel.

The Aconcagua Tour was interesting, informative, fun and well-organized! We especially appreciated all the attention to detail from our guide, Frederico, and his driver. He stayed on schedule and allowed for several breaks for lunch, snacks, coffee, and restrooms. I especially enjoyed the interesting historical and geological information Frederico provided in both Spanish and English. This tour was a perfect way to experience this part of the Andes in only one day.

My Guide is a mountain climber himself but he was also very knowlegable about the political and social history of the area and its border with Chile
Our driver was a very even tempered man, always gregarious and helpful.
I would gladly give this tour a 5 star rating but I believe there is always
" room for improvement"

The bilingual guide was great, and while there were 12 Spanish speaking tourists and just myself as a native English speaker, he took equal time explaining things on the trip to me in English

We had a fantastic guide, Federico, who spent the whole day recounting the history of the area and explaining the key sights along the way. And the views both from the bus and on the hike were absolutely spectacular. The hike is not strenuous and the journey was nicely broken up with bathroom breaks. I would highly recommend this tour!

This was an amazing way to learn about the history and landscape of Mendoza and Aconcagua. Federico and Marcos were both very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Federico has been guiding Aconcagua for decades and clearly knows what he’s talking about, and spoke perfect English. We would definitely recommend this trip!

The operator is very good at communicating with us before during and after the tour. We felt like being very well taken care of and no anxiety before during the tour. There was a mud slide on the way back and we were stuck on the road. The operator immediately contacted us, asking us how we were doing… The tour guide Maggie(?, not sure how to spell) speaks good English and gave us a lot of attention even though we were the only two in the group speaking English. Highly recommend the tour with this company. Thank you so much. We had a lot of fun.

The entire day was fabulous- the roads, the stops we made along the way, the visit the the Inca bridge and Portillo lake, all fantastic. Then you arrive at the Aconcagua national park and you are in awe. The one item I was concerned about, was getting carsick on the way there and back. Driving through the mountains tends to make me sick. This is an amazing road, well-built and safe. I didn’t feel carsick at all the entire day.

Andrea was super kind, knowledgeable, and all around a great tour guide. Two hour hike was perfect, just what we needed to get a better glimpse of Aconcagua. Kahuak also accommodated our vegetarian and vegan needs, which was super helpful and appreciated. Would recommend!

Great tour. Guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and spoke excellent English. The walking trail at the base of the mountains gave a nice stretch after the bus ride. On the way back we stopped at the Inca Bridge. Fascinating!

Experiência de dia inteiro imperdível. As paisagens no caminho ao pé da cordilheira é de cair o queixo. O ápice e quando se chega no parque do Aconcágua. É de tirar o fôlego. Experiência única, mas, sim, é cansativo. Venta bastante, mesmo na primavera, então vá preparado para frio! O guia Federico foi impecável! nos deu muitas informações e curiosidades sobre os locais. Este día de excursión fue la cereza del pastel en nuestro viaje a Mendoza. Un día my completo con paradas guiadas, alquiler de prendas para el frio/nieve, caminata nivel medio super agradable para obtener buenas fotos, Federico (guia) y Sergio (chofer) increibles! Se nota que tienen MUCHA experiencia en la ruta que es larga y supieron sacarle el mejor provecho posible. El almuerzo que incluye el tour delicioso, los snacks buenasos también.
