It gives you a good insight into how hard life was back in the early days especially at remote lighthouses.

Well worth the money. Views at the top are amazing, loved that it was informative. All the years coming to Augusta and even completing the cape to cape walk ending at this lighthouse it was first time going up. We also loved having a bite to eat prior to doing this tour at the cafe. Highly recommend

Excellent small group tour. Our guide, Jacqueline, was very knowledgeable and patient with all of our questions. It was also nice to be able to schedule our tour time in advance. Definitely worth the price of admission!

Visited on a bright sunny day with a light breeze. Our guide Sue gave us an excellent tour of the lighthouse - it’s 177 steps up,with great views from the top to where the Southern Ocean and Indian Ocean meet. Beware there can be quite a lot of flies around outside while walking round the grounds of the lighthouse!

Weather spoiled it- soaked to the skin. Heavy rain and strong winds and little or no cover for casual observers. Grumpy staff in cafe. Guide was very informative

A great experience on a very windy day giving us a small snippet of the obstacles the lighthouse keepers and their families faced every day

As someone who isn’t good with heights I am so glad I did it - the views are spectacular and the guide was really knowledgeable

The climb to the top of the lighthouse can be done by the old if you are fit enough to climb up 6 rows of spiral staircases. The view from the top of the Indian and southern oceans is breathtaking. It has a cafe teahouse to finish off the experience.

The whole lighthouse precinct was a wonderful experience. The lighthouse guide was knowledgeable, interesting and friendly. The interactive lighthouse keepers cottage taught the children a lot and they loved it. The views from everywhere were breathtaking.
