Our tour with Valentina was a great way to experience Cagliari in a relatively short period of time. She provided history, allowed us time to see multiple sites and shared her enthusiasm for this city! Driving thru the winding narrow lanes in her 1964 Fiat was a lot of fun. We received smiles from many tourists as we made our way thru the city.
We had a great couple of hours with Valentina who showed us her city, Cagliari, in the beautiful vintage car that once belonged to her husband's father. It was such a lovely, unique experience which we really enjoyed and would highly recommend.
We were cruise passengers and Valentina picked us up and dropped us off at the port.
Highly recommend- gives you a great feel of the city especially combined with walking tour ! But even without you get to see thing you would never see in your own. Plus Valentina is lovely knowledgeable and you are supporting a local business that use owns. !!
We loved every moment. We saw parts of Cagliari and drove down streets and alleys we could have never found on our own. Valentina was very knowledgeable and shared a detailed history of the city and every site. A vintage Fiat made it so much more interesting and fun. I highly recommend this tour!
Fantastic and wonderfully fun thing to do in Cagliari for anyone! We had so much fun with Valentina in her family’s (one owner) 1964 fiat.
This is the best experience you can have in Cagliari. We had a fabulous time and saw so much. It was great fun with all the locals admiring the 1965 Fiat as we tootled along. The looks on some of the faces of the old men were priceless when they first saw the car. Valentina our driver was extremely knowledgeable and showed us all the sights we had read about, and some additional local sights we hadn't even heard of. A '10 out of 10 must do' experience with a delightful hostess. If you have limited walking ability, this will suit you down to the ground. You don't need to miss out on anything with Valentina's tour.
We did the tour on our 2nd day of our trip for my husbands birthday. Valentina was so knowledgeable, very kind and stopped at iconic points for us to explore and didn’t rush us at all. She certainly knows how to manoeuvre such a nippy classic car in the narrow streets. Would highly recommend this trip especially early in your stay in Cagliari as it gives you an idea of the landscape and where to go. Thank you Valentina for making my husbands birthday that bit more special he had a great time x
It was a great way to see the city. The car was fun and Valentina the guide was great. As it was a small vehicle we could get round all of the main sites along narrow streets easily
This was the most wonderful experience. Collected from our hotel by the amazing Valentina. It was a privilege to be driven by such a skilled driver and knowledgeable guide. The car has been in the family for entire ownership since built in 1964. We learned so much. Had plenty of stops to enjoy the history and architecture of the beautiful city. We loved the pleasure this little car gave to so many who admired it as we drove along tiny streets searching out the wonderful sights.
Valentina was so knowledgeable about the history of her island and as a native Sardegna she took us to see her beautiful city the way a local would see it. She was the most accommodating and truly a pleasure to be with. Her car is a family heirloom that she shares with her customers in honor of her husband’s grandfather. This was one of our best experiences of the trip. We got to see all boroughs of the city and how they connect. Truly a must do while in Cagliari.
This is a unique experience. The car, a 1964 Fiat, is wonderful and just right for zipping in and out of the tiny roads of Cagliari. Our guide was knowledgeable and responsive to our needs. We saw some wonderful churches and the cathedral and learnt a tremendous amount about the history of Cagliari. I would highly recommend this tour if you’re looking for a short (ish) trip (2hours). Be prepared to be photographed by tourists though as the car attracts a lot of attention!
I would highly recommend Valentina's guided tour in her lovely vintage Fiat. She was very pleasant, informative and willing to answer all our questions. A must do tour if you're visiting Cagallari.
A unique way to experience Cagliari. Valentina is an experienced guide with excellent driving skills. The vintage Fiat allows access to many back streets and alleyways which could not accommodate a bigger vehicle. The car itself becomes an attraction at times and was admired by many. If you are a car enthusiast this your is made for you.

We do not enjoy the touristy areas unless there is a specific attraction. So when I saw this tour we were very excited. It did not disappoint. First, I noticed our booking had the prior day and we were not to be in port until the following day. My husband messaged Viator with no resolution. But then he direct messaged the tour and Valentina quickly responded. It was no problem to switch it to the following day and use the same ticket. We were so relieved and grateful to her for accommodating us. Now the tour…. the car is amazing! Valentina is amazing! She is a local with immense knowledge of Cagliari and Sardinia history. We saw and learned so much. She gave us time to get out and explore certain sites. This tour would also be a good option for someone who is not able to or doesn’t like to walk for long periods of time but still allows for you to see many sites. Actually, I think it was far better than a standard tour as I feel we saw so much more than we would have with a large group. At the tour conclusion we asked Valentina for a restaurant recommendation and we had a wonderful authentic lunch. I would do this again if ever back in Cagliari and I highly recommend it.
This was the standout highlight for our time in Cagliari. I booked this as a part of the holiday for my wife’s birthday and it was fabulous. Valentina is an absolute star and such a knowledgeable guide driving her families vintage fiat. She took us on a great tour of the city which we would never have been able to do on foot. She explained so much about the city and how there were 3 walls built. The cathedral was a marvel plus the streets in Villanova lined with flowers plus so much more. This trip was so good we loved how she navigated driving through the narrow streets with ease. If you’re in the area and want a tour with a difference do not hesitate to book this. This was the perfect way to start our first full day in Cagliari. My partner and I felt like we got a much better understanding of the city, and this tour helped us navigate the city with so much more confidence throughout the rest of our time in Cagliari. There were great stops at some breathtaking views and anecdotes shared along the way that made it clear Valentina not only knew the history of the city, but what it's like today. We booked this because we thought the car was cute and it would be a fun thing to tell people we did, but it ended up helping us see so much more of the city and feel like we really got an insider's view.
What a find. This was the perfect way to experience Cagliari without climbing steep hills or getting swept into a big “canned” tour. Riding through the city in a classic 1964 Fiat—beautifully maintained and surprisingly comfortable—felt like stepping into vintage Italy. Other tourists kept snapping photos of the car as we zipped through the narrow streets, which added to the fun.
The real highlight, though, was our guide, Valentina. Warm, genuine, and deeply knowledgeable, she brings her hometown’s history to life. It’s clear she loves what she does, and that energy makes the whole experience shine. She took us to scenic overlooks, charming neighborhoods, and several churches—places we never would’ve found on a standard excursion. We learned so much and never once felt rushed.
For anyone wanting a shorter, more personal tour, especially in the summer heat, this is absolutely the way to go. And here’s the bonus: compared to the ship’s excursions, this was a bargain. We’d do it again in a heartbeat.
Valentina and her gorgeous car were the highlight of our time Cagliari! A phenomenal way to see the city and as I was travelling with my parents in their 70s it saved some aching joints by being able to relax in this vintage vehicle! We loved the time with Valentina and thoroughly enjoyed her tour!

Today’s adventure in Cagliari became even more real in a 1960’s beautifully maintained family-owned Fiat, hosted by an incredibly warm, personable and knowledgeable owner, Valentina!!
Valentina was super friendly, extremely knowledgable, and fun! It was delightful to be in the retro car and because the car is so tiny - she was able to stop in tight spots to talk about a site or let us get out to explore for a few minutes.
Our guide Valentina was amazing she was knowledgeable. We really liked her. You could tell in her smile she loved what she did and where she lives. She was great. The views were incredible. Our only disappointment was the car. We know it was a 1964 so it would be hard to be in great condition however it was very noisy and uncomfortable.
Private tour of the city.. lots of information and sites.. the car was amazingly well preserved and a bit of history in itself. The cathedral and crypt we sights not to be missed
It’s a unique way to see the main sights of Cagliari. Valentina spoke English and is a very knowledgeable guide. And as she drove us through the narrow streets she explained the history of each area. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and learned so much about the city.

Valentina was our driver she was very friendly and knowledgeable about Cagliari. Took us all around the city. The car is great fun as she was driving through the narrow streets. She was happy to answer any questions we had. As she said it was our tour. She also picked us up from our hotel. As after booking I sent a message asking if we could be picked up. We would highly recommend this trip, we throughly enjoyed it
This was a wonderful experience with our driver Valentina. She took us through the old parts of the city, giving wonderful commentary on the history of the region. She also stopped several times to allow us photographic opportunities. The excursion was just over 2 hours, and perfect for both of us. We highly recommend this lovely tour.
