Riding a horse through the Tetons is a magical experience. My sisters, husband, and I had a blast at Heart Six. The staff was extremely kind, patient, and knowledgeable. The tour itself was gorgeous, and especially fun because of the variety of terrain. The horses each had their own personality but were all very friendly. My family and I would definitely recommend horseback riding at Heart Six.

This was our first time horseback riding and we had a great time. Our guide, Rebecca, was amazing and the ride was very gentle. Beautiful and well trained horses were offered and such gorgeous scenery!

I did not feel safe. The horse, Patsy, would not accept my lead and kept running off trail. The guide says she did that all the time. I am an experienced rider and have never experienced a horse not following directions. It kept happening with another rider. Too many people on the ride and only one guide. Too many first time riders and small children. The guide kept screaming out details about the trees, except we could not hear her, which added to the already tense ride. The advertisement for this ride showed a ride through the water, this did not happen and was a let down.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about our guide, Jeremiah. My two daughters and 3 granddaughters ages 8-69 started out on our ride with the sun shining brightly. About 3/4 of the way through the ride, the rain came and then we saw lightening and heard thunder. My 8 year-old granddaughter started to cry. Jeremiah took off his own jacket and wrapped it around her. He then put a lead on her horse and walked her and the horse all the way back. He made her feel secure. When we got into the car after, her mother told her that is the type of man you should marry-a true gentleman.

We had a great time with chelsey as our tour guide. She was amazing and made my wife feel safe with her horse. The views of the tetons were amazing and they provided us rain gear so we were comfortable. I woyld highly recommend this trip.

Great experience, true ranch style riding tour. Great overview for safety on a horse and the terrain. Only downside was the weather, it rained once we got to the top and we’re coming down!! Potentially could have been avoided if groups were loaded quickly or in two different areas (private ride vs group ride). Wranglers were nice and knowledgeable and talked about the terrain, points of interest, plants.

Because of construction we cold not reach our destination on time.( maybe 10 minutes late)
The viator person helped a lot but six heart ranch would not budge , offered me a ride in about a week and one-half. who usually gets to stay that long.

This was a lot of fun. My kids enjoyed the ride—Rebecca was great with leading the group and keeping my kids engaged. My horse Skittles had a bit of an independent streak, and Rebecca was excellent in helping me get her back in line with the group.
Shane_K, Aug 2026
It was really fun and our guide Aubrey was great and helped when we had an accident with the horse. Be gently and patient with the horses

Spectacular! Everybody was friendly and helpful, especially for this guy, who’s afraid of horses. Special shoutout to my horse, Hamilton. We did not throw away our shot.

It was a great experience! My wife and myself, both with riding experience, and our 10 year old daughter with no experience had a great time. Grace was the lead for our group and she was amazing, taking extra care to ensure our daughter had the best experience she could. Would do it again with a second thought!

We really enjoyed the ride and particular our tour guide! A highly recommended experience with an excellent view at the end.

We took the 1 1/2 hour horseback riding package. The orientation prior to “saddling up” is helpful, especially for first timers. The first half of the ride is essentially uphill on a narrow but well-worn path through low brush and trees. Once at the summit the Teton range comes into view; it’s a spectacular vantage point!
Among our group of 15, we had one horse who balked and decided to lay down and just didn’t want to continue. Neither the horse nor its rider were injured as the horse flopped to the ground. The 2 cowgirls who led our group showed great compassion for the horse. However our group was stranded at that spot, about 15 minutes from the ranch. Some among our group were concerned for the approaching lightning storm; others were concerned about missing pre-arranged rides with Uber. We returned to the ranch 30 minutes later than scheduled.
I would suggest the Heart 6 Ranch develop and implement a better plan when such incidents occur.
Also, the Heart 6 Ranch is 35 miles from downtown Jackson, a 55 minute ride (at best) each way. We didn’t realize that when we booked. If we were to do this again we would choose another horseback riding experience closer to Jackson.

This was the most scenic horseback riding experience I have ever done. It was beginner, friendly, and the horses were very nice and gentle.

Great guides, views and experience. Fun time. They were knowledgeable and patient with everybody’s level of experience.
LYNDA_S, Jul 2026
Although not an EXACT 2 hours of riding, the trails included gorgeous views of the Tetons and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The ride itself was just over an hour, but still worth it.
Savannah_D, Jul 2026
They were so friendly, and supportive! My horse was a little challenging,, so I recommend just asking for help sooner than I did cause they will totally help you. Gorgeous trails and view of the Tetons!
Brenda_O, Jul 2026
The three hour ride was 2 hours too long! Even the horses were over it. There were several things that could have been communicated better such as long pants, sunscreen, and water. They had no water to offer our group. But they sure did collect a mandatory (also not communicated) $92 gratuity. Did not find the staff overly friendly ready to ensure we had a great experience.
Frank_L, Jul 2026
Great trail ride for beginner and intermediate riders. Very well trained horses and excellent guides leading the ride through beautiful landscape with the Grand Tetons in your view the entire ride.
Mitchell_C, Jul 2026
