Brilliant history and food tour

This is an amazing food tour that I would recommend to anyone who loves food and history. Obi was an interesting and fun guide who took us to many great food places and told us all about the history of Brixton. There was a great selection of food and loads of it, you definitely won’t leave hungry. This is definitely a trip you don’t want to miss.

Brixton Market Tour with African and Caribbean cuisine was one of the absolute highlights of our trip. Amazing Experience! A+

This tour was amazing and you will not regret booking it. Obie was an amazing tour guide. He was so informative, extremely organized and his tour was well planned and well thought out. He is excellent at what he does. The food was delicious! If you have food, allergies, or food restrictions, such as vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, etc. make sure to let him know in advance by messaging him after you book. He can accommodate any of your food restrictions or any of your food needs. But you just need to let him know before the tour, so he can make arrangements. We did not realize that we should have notified him in advance, and he was still so gracious and willing to make accommodations for us, even though we told him at the last minute. So definitely give him a heads up. He can make it happen to suit your restrictions. I would recommend this for anyone traveling to London. It was such a great way to see another side of London that is just as amazing and exciting and informative, that you don’t always get to see. I would highly recommend this. I give this tour a rating of 10 out of 10 hands-down. I would recommend this to all of my family and friends.

Black Excellence Supreme

This was our second time taking the Brixton Market Tour (as it is that rich of an experience). Obi and his team continue to unveil Black excellence, community, culture, and cuisine in a way that wraps you in the warmest Black embrace. We returned on this tour for our birthdays and Obi made it beyond special with cupcakes and candles as we welcomed a new year around the sun; which made this second experience and journey that much more community and belonging centered across the diaspora. Shout out to Nat and Courtney as well for their support, storytelling, hospitality, and warmth. 15 out of 10 recommend! #InSolidarity! ✊🏾

Great Experience

This was a great experience. I traveled solo for my birthday and decided to do a one of a kind culinary experience catering to the African American culture in Brixton. I was even surprised with a birthday cake! I meet other travelers that were great company and the host is extraordinary! Make sure you book when you visit London!

Brixton for the win.

This was by far the best outing I had whilie visiting London. Obi served as a personal guide through the streets of Brixton sharing its history and the contributions of the Carribbean and African population that has allowed it to grow. If your that individual that likes to get the history of the country you are visiting and eat good food then this is the outing for you. Also if you are a child of the 80s and listened to the song Electric Avenue you get to see where the music video was made.

The markets are open everyday from 8am to 11:30pm (with the exception of a 6pm closing time on Mondays).
There are weekly rotating themed markets on Saturdays, and a farmer’s market on Sundays.
