A fabulous trip with a fun and knowledgeable guide
A brilliant, full day out with an excellent guide (Hamood), who was good fun, knowledgeable and patient with our 5 year old. The scenery was absolutely spectacular and the sunset sandboarding was so much fun. Our daughter particularly enjoyed her camel ride and said it was her favourite part of the holiday. Thanks Hamood, we will always remember this fantastic day!

An amazing excursion... SO worth it!
The entire trip was like something out of a dream! I had an amazing time. Mahmood (the guide) was great and very "easy on the eyes" if you know what I mean ladies! However, I must warn others... this hike was VERY advanced and does requires some level of physical fitness to complete. Also no matter how great of a swimmer you are, I still recommend the life vest when swimming to the cave. The meal after the excursion was so delicious and you WILL work up an appetite prior to getting to the restaurant. The sinkhole was beautiful also! This trip was so worth it and I am so happy I booked it.

A trip that should not be missed.
Fabulous trip. Abdullah was an excellent tour guide and great company! Pace was relaxed and, because we were a small group, we could go at our own pace. Lunch was delicious but huge! It included meat but for vegetarians there is plain rice and dips. The karak stop afterwards was very much appreciated. A long day but so worth it for the fort/castle and the stunning views at Jebel Akhdar. As history/archaeology lovers, Birkat Al Mouz was a definite highlight, as was the coffee shop there! Great milkshakes and the iced honey latte really hit the spot.

Beautiful sands, awesome guide
I thoroughly enjoyed every part of this experience, from the road trip and getting to talk to our super knowledgeable and friendly guide Qais, to the wadi where we got to take a dip in the clear waters and get my feet exfoliated by little fishies (optional but I recommend), to my favourite part of going to the desert sands and just absorbing the beauty of it at sunset

Much of Oman’s finest scenery lies within day-tripping distance of its capital Muscat, making the city a convenient springboard for exploring. Consequently, Muscat day trips are everywhere you look—primarily private, chauffeured 4WD tours that promise safe passage around the interior's rugged terrain. Popular trips include circuits of the souks, 18th-century forts, and villages nestled in the country's Al-Hajar peaks; journeys into steep-walled wadis (valleys) speckled with turquoise pools, and visits to untouched canyons, beaches, and the empty sands of Wahiba. Other options beckon, too: from day-long Muscat city sightseeing itineraries to snorkeling in the glassy seas around the Dimaniyat islands.
