We'll be surfing down the Big Dunes in our Mini Sahara, visiting the west coast where you have a chance to spot Green turtles and Lemon Sharks in their natural habitat and finish the tour tasting local specialties at the first established village in Boavista. This will take you on an active adventure to places where even locals don´t come often. During this tour you''ll go off road, visit the shipwreck, drive up the mountain and walk into the canyon. See beautiful views, swim at hidden beaches and finish with a drink at a ocean front restaurant. - Your guide pick you up at your hotel between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. - The tour starts with a drive through rua pittoreska. Via this remote way we'll drive up to shipwreck cabo santa maria. The shipwreck has been here since 1968. It ran aground because of human error. - Next stop you'll drive up to the mountain overlooking the coast of the island. We'll walk down into the canyon. You end on the beach and walk to the fatima chapel with panoramic view overlooking the sea. - Next you'll walk to a remote beach where you'll have a swim. From July until October, we find this spectacle down the beach in the evening where big females come to lay their eggs inside the special nests all made by themselves. This beauty is protected by the government with massive support of the locals who engages the conservancy project every year. Nowadays, there are many associations and ONGs with international support who help the conservancy and protection program. There are a limit of tours and people per night per beach to not disturb the turtle processes, (each operator has a limit number of guests per visit).
