For over 10 years, I’ve been sharing the joy of cooking and eating through children’s cooking classes. Now, as a Japanese mom, I offer home-style Japanese cooking lessons to help bridge cultures through food. Let’s enjoy making Japanese dishes together while sharing our cultures! This is a small, private class, so you can learn authentic Japanese home cooking in a more intimate setting. In this class, you’ll receive easy-to-follow recipes that you can recreate even after returning to your home country.

Ginza Man'nen-do was founded in Kyoto in 1617! It is a long-established shop that catered sweets to the Emperor's family, the Tokugawa Shogunate, and temples and shrines. The store opened in Ginza to accompany Emperor Meiji during the capital's transition to the Meiji era. In the café space modernized with bamboo, participants will make Nerikiri, which is called the art of confectionery. The instructor is Yoshi Higuchi, the 13th-generation owner of a Japanese confectionery store with over 400 years of history and tradition. After making beautiful wagashi, enjoy them with matcha (powdered green tea) prepared by Master Yoshi. You are invited to try your hand at edible art incorporating the history of wagashi, ingredients, and motifs of the four seasons. Remember to take a picture before eating!
